Test Functions Space in Noncommutative Quantum Field Theory

چکیده
Abstract: It is proven that the ⋆-product of field operators implies that the space of test functions in the Wightman approach to noncommutative quantum field theory is one of the Gel’fand-Shilov spaces S with β < 1/2. This class of test functions smears the noncommutative Wightman functions, which are in this case generalized distributions, sometimes called hyperfunctions. The existence and determination of the class of the test function spaces in NC QFT is important for any rigorous treatment in the Wightman approach.

Quantum Field Theories on a Noncommutative Euclidean Space: Overview of New Physics
In this talk I briefly review recent developments in quantum field theories on a noncommutative Euclidean space, with Heisenberg-like commutation relations between coordinates. I will be concentrated on new physics learned from this simplest class of non-local field theories, which has applications to both string theory and condensed matter systems, and possibly to particle phenomenology. 1. متن کاملModels of Quantum Space Time: Quantum Field Planes
Quantum field planes furnish a noncommutative differential algebra Ω which substitutes for the commutative algebra of functions and forms on a contractible manifold. The data requirered in their construction come from a quantum field theory. The basic idea is to replace the ground field C of quantum planes by the noncommutative algebra A of observables of the quantum field theory. HUTMP 94-B335...
متن کاملAxiomatic formulations of nonlocal and noncommutative field theories
We analyze functional analytic aspects of axiomatic formulations of nonlocal and noncommutative quantum field theories. In particular, we completely clarify the relation between the asymptotic commutativity condition, which ensures the CPT symmetry and the standard spin-statistics relation for nonlocal fields, and the regularity properties of the retarded Green’s functions in momentum space tha...
متن کاملNoncommutative Deformations of Wightman Quantum Field Theories
Quantum field theories on noncommutative Minkowski space are studied in a model-independent setting by treating the noncommutativity as a deformation of quantum field theories on commut ative space. Starting from an arbitrary Wightman theory, we consider special vacuum representations of its Weyl-Wigner deformed counterpart. In such representations, the effect of the noncommutativity on the bas...
متن کاملRetarded Functions in Noncommutative Theories
The perturbative approach to quantum field theory using retarded functions is extended to noncommutative theories. Unitarity as well as quantized equations of motion are studied and seen to cause problems in the case of space-time noncommutativity. A modified theory is suggested that is unitary and preserves the classical equations of motion on the quantum level. PACS: 11.10.Nx, 11.25.Db
